Beulah Ogburn Rose

Beulah Ogburn Rose, born March 16, 1926, passed away on December 20, 2018.

She was married to George Edward "Buck" Rose. They were married for 64 years. Beulah retired from Halifax Paper Board (formerly Federal Paper Board) after 32 years. She and Buck owned and operated Rapids Dry Cleaning. She was a member of Rosemary United Methodist Church for many years. She has resided in Zebulon for the last four years with her daughter, Connie Rose Mullins, FNP and her son-in-law, CWO5 (ret. U.S. Army) Jeffrey L. Mullins.

Beulah was the daughter of Pete and Della Wallace Ogburn of Roanoke Rapids, NC. She was also preceded in death by her brother, James Clifton Ogburn, and her sister, Dorothy George Wesson.

She is survived by her daughter, Connie Rose Mullins and her husband, Jeffrey of Zebulon; her sister-in-law, Millie Shell Ogburn of Roanoke Rapids; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will have a Committal Service at Cedarwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 23, 2018, at Askew Funeral & Cremation Services from 1:00 to 2:30 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, she preferred donations be made to: Paralyzed Veterans of America (www.SupportVeterans.org), and/or Disabled American Veterans (secure.dav.org), and/or Canine Companions for Independence (cci.org).
